Red is the director of the critically-acclaimed Pinoy films such as Rekorder (2013), the Oscar-nominated Birdshot (2016), Neomanila (2017), Eerie (2019), and the upcoming Block Z (2020). At the age of 15, Red became the youngest director to participate in Cinemalaya at 21 and was also honored as Director of the Year during the Esquire Man at His Best 2019. The 28-year-old filmmaker recently flew to Hollywood to discuss his ideas with major U.S studios including Sony, Paramount, Blumhouse, Scottfree, XYZ, and more.

Following his international success, the DEAD Kids director is about to give opportunity to aspiring Filipino filmmakers.

According to Red, the apprentice will be working "closely” to acquire all the skills needed in filmmaking from development to distribution. The work involves 1 international miniseries (presumably the HBO Asia’s Halfworlds), 1 local feature film production, and 1 international film production.

Red has not posted any details regarding the application yet, but he said the mechanics will be up soon.
