The new international airport led by the San Miguel Corp will "definitely" start the construction this year according to a transport official.

After giving the San Miguel Corp president Ramon Ang "time to recover" from personal matters, Transport Secretary Art Tugade asked him about the groundbreaking of the airport said by Transportation Assistant Secretary Giovanni Lopez.
Reports said that the airport was supposed to be started in December last year or January this year.
Lopez said that the project could be completed in 6 years.
