The total tally of deaths in the Philippines rises to 12 after DOH confirmed an additional death on Sunday night.
The Department of Health (DOH) identified the patient as Patient 12, a 56-year-old male who died because of acute respiratory distress syndrome.
DOH revealed that the patient began experiencing fever and cough on February 29 and he tested positive from the virus on March 9.
The patient was confined at the Makati Medical Center.
