DOH announces death of one COVID-19 patient; total deaths now at 6

The Department of Health (DOH) announces in a statement, March 14, Saturday, about the death of
one coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patient.

Patient 40 died on March 13 from acute respiratory distress syndrome due to severe pneumonia with acute kidney injury.
The patient had been confined at the Northern Mindanao Medical Center in Lanao del Sur since March 3 after experiencing symptoms on February 4.
From the details that DOH released, Patient 40 ws a 54-year-old Filipino male
Patient 40 has no history of recent travel and first coronavirus fatality recorded outside Metro Manila.
