DOH reports First Filipino to recover from COVID-19

The Department of Health confirmed on Monday, March 16, the first Filipino who has recovered from the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
According to the report, the case is PH14, a 46-year-old male and a Pasay resident who manifested with cough and fever on February 25, 2020.
He was admitted at Makati Medical Center on March 5, and was confirmed with COVID-19 on March 9.
The patient is now asymptomatic and discharged after being tested twice for COVID-19.
This brings the total of recovered patients in the Philippines to 3.
PH14 is the third COVID-19 patient who recovered in the Philippines, while the first 2 COVID-19 patients are 2 Chinese nationals. The DOH clarified the tally on Sunday afternoon.
As of Sunday, the country has recorded at total 140 cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), including 12 fatalities.
