Students under Political Science of First City Providential College (FCPC) and members of the OFW Family Circle (OFC) of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan joined hands for a community project which aims to help the victims of the Taal volcano eruption.
PolSci students and OFC members are set to travel to Taal, Batangas by 4 AM on Thursday, January 15, to hand their donations to the locale and volunteer at the site.
The approved list of students who will give their assistance includes Loui Andrew Flores, Keihl Xyla Garcia, Keya Acuyong, and Precious Gif Sumagang. The number of students allowed at the site are limited for safety purposes.
The project is made possible by their call for donations and 2-day garage sale organized by PolSci students Keya Acuyong (2nd year) and Nikki Dumling (1st year). The students sold their pre-loved clothes to collect cash that can be used to buy the relief goods.

“‘Yung nalikom na pera sa garage, ayun mismo ‘yung ginamit for donations. Water lang ‘yung ido-donate since ang sabi samin is ‘yun yung primary na pangangailangan kase marami [raw] companies na nagdonate na ng foods. Then clothes, from different people na ‘yun na nagbigay tsaka yung mga di nabenta nung garage,” 2nd year PolSci student Meryjo Marco said.
