House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano confirmed on Tuesday morning that the administration is about to develop a comprehensive rehabilitation plan to provide support and assistance for the victims of the volcanic activities.
He directed Rep. Lucy Torres, the chairperson of the House Committee on Disaster Management to coordinate with relevant committees such as Agriculture, Tourism, and Trade and Industry to take action on severely affected cities in Batangas, Cavite, and Laguna.
“We need to collectively develop for short-term and long-term plans to restore and rehabilitate the affected areas to reinvigorate tourism and business in the affected provinces the soonest time possible,” he said.
