Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte received five (5) million pesos from the Iglesia Ni Cristo to help the urban provide necessary goods and supplies amid the COVID-19 situation.
According to Eagle News, the monetary donation is from the Church’s Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo.
The confirmed cases of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Quezon City jumped to 44 as of Saturday, March 21.
The city has a population of about three (3) million, and is considered the largest city in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Meanwhile, Quezon City is under enhanced community quarantine which is effective since March 17 and will end on April 14.
