Mall hours adjusted due to COVID-19 threat

Several mall operators adjusted their operating hours after the government implemented curfew across Metro Manila.



The Metro Manila Council issued resolution that urges all local governments in the National Capital Region (NCR) to issue ordinances for the temporary closure of malls and other establishments.


1. Ayala Malls


Ayala Malls announced that they are closing their establishment at 7PM on Saturday, March 14 in compliance with the curfew that was imposed in Metro Manila.


In their statement, they clarified that the adjustment period will be only applicable for the said date, and they will announce should there be new developments.



2. SM SuperMalls


SM SuperMalls also announced adjustment periods. Starting Sunday, March 15, their operating hours will be from 11AM to 7PM from Monday to Sunday.




3. Robinson Malls


Robinson Malls will also close at 7PM on March 14. New operating hours was also released, effective March 15.



4. BGC Malls


Several Bonifacio Global City malls will be closing at 7PM, Saturday, March 14 which complies to the Metro Manila curfew. New operating hours is yet to announced for the subsequent days.



5. Ortigas Malls


Ortigas Malls also announced that it will be closing at 7PM on Saturday, March 14.



The MMDA will impose a curfew in the NCR as part of the community quarantine procedure to contain the spread of COVID-19.


The curfew will be effective on Sunday, March 15 from 8PM to 5AM that will last until April 14.
