The City of San Jose del Monte is now under city-wide quarantine as the confirmed cases of COVID-19 increased to 2.

The SJDM Public Information Office stated the announcement in a Facebook post on Sunday, March 15.

The implementation is based on the Interagency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) Resolution 11 Series of 2020.

Following the city-wide quarantine, the city will prohibit mass gatherings as well as conduct community quarantine checkpoints.

Employees working in the National Capital Region (NCR) and other cities and municipalities are allowed to enter, however, a company ID shall be provided at checkpoints.

Meanwhile, both City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council and Emerging & Re-Emerging Infectious Disease (ERID) Task Force will hold regular meetings to provide updates regarding the COVID-19 situation in the community.
